David J. Pollay, M.A.P.P., is the creator of the internationally known “The Law of the Garbage Truck!.” People from more than 100 countries have taken “ target="_blank";The No Garbage Trucks! Pledge.” His book, The Law of the Garbage Truck™, is due out next year. It will be published by Sterling Publishing, a Barnes & Noble company.

David is a syndicated columnist. He writes the weekly column, The Happiness Answer. You can also read David's popular blog each week and his newsletter, Momentum Minutes. David is an internationally sought after speaker and seminar leader.

David's work has been featured around the world in magazines and newspapers, and on radio, television, and the Internet. Univision, the fourth largest television network in the United States, interviewed David in Spanish about his method for applying the science of happiness to business on its prime-time news program, “Aqui y Ahora.” ABC television interviewed David on the “Weekend Morning Show” in South Florida. BusinessWeek SmallBiz Magazine featured David's work in an article on the field of positive psychology.

David is President of The Momentum Project, LLC, a consulting organization that focuses on the application of the science of positive psychology to business. David and his trainers increase employee productivity and engagement for their clients through his Happiness-based™ Leadership and The Law of the Garbage Truck™ Programs.

David is a founding associate executive director of the International Positive Psychology Association (IPPA). He is a visiting scholar at the University of Pennsylvania. David was the founding president of the first master's degree alumni association in positive psychology. He has presented his Strengths Profiles of Leaders research at the International Positive Psychology Summit in Washington, D.C.

David was an early leader at Yahoo!. He held pioneering roles as the first director of customer care and the first director of learning and development. Prior to Yahoo!, David held leadership positions at MasterCard, Global Payments, and AIESEC (the world's largest university-based leadership organization). In 2005, he was inducted into AIESEC's International Alumni Hall of Fame at a ceremony in Agra, India, home of the Taj Mahal.

David holds a master's degree of applied positive psychology (M.A.P.P.) from the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor' degree in economics from Yale University. He played football for Yale after a record-breaking high school career in Shorewood, Wisconsin. David lives in Florida with his wife and two daughters.
